Whole Foods Market
The success of the Preserve Gimme 5 program is only possible through the support of our wonderful partners. After all, how could people recycle their #5 plastics if they were unable to find a Gimme 5 bin? Whole Foods to the rescue! There are currently 250 Whole Foods Market locations across the country that participate in Preserve Gimme 5, and the bins at these stores have collected hundreds of thousands of pounds of plastic.
One of Preserve’s first partners in Gimme 5, Whole Foods Market is the world’s leading natural and organic grocer, and is a company passionate about healthy food and a healthy planet. Whole Foods seeks out the very best natural and organic foods and has a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, healthy eating, and environmental stewardship. And on top of all that, Whole Foods is a fun place to shop!
Since 2008, Gimme 5 participants have dropped off more than 250 tons of yogurt cups, butter, and cottage cheese containers and other #5 plastic packages for recycling at more than 245 Whole Foods Market stores across the United States.
