Preserve Products

Where can I buy Preserve products?

Preserve products are available at thousands of retail locations in the US, Canada and United Kingdom, including Target stores, Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods Market. Use our Store Finder to find the ones nearest to you.

What is the Preserve Subscription Program?

The Preserve Subscription Program is the easy way to make sure that you are changing your toothbrush in accordance with American Dental Association recommendations. Sign up through our online store to have a new Preserve toothbrush delivered to your door every three months.

Why does the Preserve toothbrush have a curved handle?

The curve in the Preserve's handle promotes a more natural and comfortable feel to allow brushing at all angles. This ergonomic feature was designed with dental professionals to help you brush along the gumline where it easily reaches the forgotten areas where plaque hides.

Who designs your products?

We design all of our products ourselves and with the help of industrial design partners. Our newest line, Preserve Kitchen, was created in partnership with our friends at Evo Design.

Preserve Plastics

Are Preserve plastics safe?

YES! We believe strongly in making our products as safe and healthy as possible for you and your family. All of our plastics are tested for heavy metals and exceed the Environmental Protection Agency drinking water standards. If we don’t feel comfortable giving a product to our families, we won’t sell it to yours. Click here to find out more about Preserve plastic safety.

Can I use Preserve Tableware and Kitchen products in the microwave?

The full line of Preserve Kitchen and Tableware products are dishwasher-safe and won’t degrade when heated. However, we don’t recommend using our plastics – or any plastics – in the microwave.

Recycling

How can I recycle my Preserve products?

You can use Recycline’s postage-paid label to return our toothbrushes, razor handles, tongue cleaners and their packaging to be recycled into plastic lumber. Preserve Kitchen and Tableware can be recycled in the blue bin in any community that accepts #5 plastic.

Please wait to mail in your toothbrushes until you have a few products to return to save on fuel and energy.

Our postage-paid recycling mailer is for Preserve products only! Please do not send other companies' products, as we will be unable to recycle them.

You can include up to 13 ounces of products in each of Recycline’s postage-paid mailers. Here are the weights of our commonly returned products.

  • One Preserve Toothbrush with container weighs 0.9 ounces
  • One Preserve Jr. Toothbrush with container weighs 0.6 ounces.
  • One Preserve tongue cleaner weighs 0.4 ounces
  • One Preserve Triple Razor with container weighs 1.3 ounces
  • One Preserve Razor Double weighs 0.5 ounces

Please send only Preserve plastic products – we aren’t able to recycle other companies’ products or paper inserts.

What do you do with the toothbrushes, tongue cleaners and razor handles that get returned to Recycline?

We work with a company to grind down the returned products – bristles and all – into plastic lumber to be used for park benches, decks and other useful products.

Where do I send my used #5 plastic?

We frequently hear from frustrated Preservers who live in parts of the country that don’t accept #5 plastics for recycling. That is why we have set up our own Preserve Gimme 5 recycling program to transform your used, clean #5 plastics into brand new Preserve products. Click here to find out more about our Gimme 5 recycling program.

How do we carbon offset the CO2 emitted by your shipment?

Preserve is committed to minimizing any negative impact on the environment. When we cannot avoid impact we look for ways to reduce the impact. For this reason, all of our domestic UPS ground shipments make use of the UPS carbon neutral shipping program. Each ground shipment contributes $.05 towards the purchase of carbon offsets.

Preserve’s environmental team evaluated the UPS carbon neutral shipping program and decided to participate for a variety of reasons:

  • The program uses one of the top 3rd party verification systems (Gold Standard, Voluntary Carbon Standard)
  • The carbon offsets are retired each year to make the reductions permanent and avoid double counting.
  • If the program is able to offset emissions for less than the $.05 assigned to each shipment, the residual funds are directed towards other green programs at UPS.
  • The carbon modeling program used to calculate the CO2 emissions of your shipment covers emissions from Scope 1 to Scope 3 (direct emissions, indirect emissions, combustion of fuel)
  • Need more information? Read more about the UPS carbon neutral shipping program at the UPS website: http://www.carbonneutral.ups.com/. Contact us with any further questions or thoughts on this program.
